Where Footy Begins — Auskick at Raiders
Our Auskick program is where the love of the game starts.
With over 140 participants in 2023, Higgins Park buzzes every Saturday morning with the sound of kids learning, laughing, and giving footy a go — supported by passionate parents, coaches and volunteers.
We’ve even taken the game to the big stage: Raiders Auskick teams have proudly featured at halftime at West Coast and Fremantle games at Optus Stadium.
Pathways for the Future
We maintain a strong relationship with Perth Football Club and provide pathways for players to join WAFL development programs. Many of our juniors are now playing with Perth Colts and development squads, inspired by the players who’ve come before them.
At Raiders, we support every journey — from first kick to full potential.
A Club for Everyone
More than 20% of our players identify as Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, or from multicultural backgrounds.
We’re committed to reconciliation, cultural awareness and community inclusion through:
- Partnerships with local Indigenous organisations
- Committee and coach cultural training
- Annual NAIDOC ceremonies, including a Welcome to Country and the launch of our Indigenous jumper

Celebrating Multicultural Leadership
In 2019, Raiders coach Nuria “Nooz” was recognised as the AFL Multicultural Program Community Ambassador. Her work with our girls teams and her leadership off the field has had lasting impact.
Each year, we host the Nic Nat Cup at Higgins Park — a flagship event with 150+ multicultural players, in partnership with the Nic Naitanui Academy.
It’s more than a carnival — it’s a celebration of culture, footy, and community.
