In Round 11 we proudly recognise NAIDOC Round. A time to celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

It's more than just a round of footy. It’s about respect, learning, and walking together for a shared future.
NAIDOC stands for National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee, and each year, the week highlights a different theme. This year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly” is a tribute to the people who built this movement. the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression, and the communities who keep showing up, year after year.
As a club, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that recognises and values the oldest living culture in the world.

Throughout this weekend, we pause to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we play on, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.

This special round provides an opportunity to recognise and honour the rich histories, cultures, achievements, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We look forward to bringing our community together to celebrate First Nations cultures, promote understanding and respect, and acknowledge the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.
We encourage everyone to get involved and be part of this important celebration.
